About This Course
Develop stronger English skills for handling more complex reading, writing, speaking and listening tasks. This course supports learners in building confidence for further study, work and everyday communication.

Develops the English skills needed to handle longer texts, more complex writing tasks and more demanding spoken communication, both in life and at work.

Usually taken after Entry 3, or by learners whose initial assessment places them at this level.
Reading and Writing are assessed by written exam; Speaking, Listening & Communication through a tutor-assessed spoken task.
Level 1 → Level 2 (broadly equivalent to a GCSE grade 4/C pass, commonly required for further study, apprenticeships and many jobs)
