About This Course
Develop practical English skills for more demanding everyday tasks, study, and work. This course builds confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, with a focus on handling longer texts and more complex communication.
Program Details
Develops the English needed to handle longer texts, more complex writing and more demanding conversation, both in life and at work.
Usually taken after Entry 3, or by learners whose initial assessment places them at this level.

Level 1 Award in ESOL Skills for Life: Reading
Level 1 Award in ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening
Level 1 Award in ESOL Skills for Life: Writing
Level 1 Certificate in ESOL Skills for Life (combines all three skill areas)
Reading and Writing assessed through set tasks; Speaking and Listening through tutor-assessed spoken tasks.
